as mine has a big dent in it and is no longer round....

or even better, how can they be taken apart?
is it easy to do?

there 2 tiny cross headed screws at the front and 3 bolts are the rear.

This silver ring? Its edge is pressed/folded, so you have to bend it back to take it out. It's hard to fit a new one there without making some dents and scratches. Send it to autometer, they will probably do that for you - they have a great customer support.

i have some spare parts for the 3905, but that ring is bent also.
