This post is to warn people of a serious problem that occurred. About four years ago I
let Dave Roades ALL the club articles from DER RENWAGEN FUHRERS.
I as the last President of the club, had the memorabilia in storage and safekeeping.Dave
approached me to borrow the articles so he could used them for an article they were
doing on his car and the club. I agreed and gave the pieces to him. Mind you, these articles
are not mine or his. They are the clubs. Even though the club has disbanded, there are
still many people from those days around, and we still talk. As recently as a couple months
ago I was in contact with some members about a reunion at the 2007 VW Classic.

Will last weekend I got some very disturbing news. It seem that Dave Roades has
Taken it upon himself to profit off the memory and nostalgia of DER RENWAGEN FUHRERS
and sell all the articles he had in his possesion. He had no right to sell these pieces.
Now I am not blaming the people that bought them, but I would like to ask that
These pieces be returned. I personally will reimburse all monies includig shipping that
You have outlaid to get these articles back in the possession of DER RENWAGEN FUHRERS.
All I am doing is trying to right a very grave wrong that has occurred.

Please, look into your heart and try to do the right thing.Thank you very much!

pasted from the other forum:

Roger have you spoken to Dave?
as it was me selling things on Daves behalf I can fairly certainly say there was no DRF literature, memorobilia or anything else sold.He has alot of it still hanging in his shop and the rest safely stored away.I really think someone has been spreading some malicious rumours or yanking your chain,I hope this is the case and its all safe and well with Dave.
