Weber 34 ICH info

I recently picked up a pair of dual Weber ICH (34mm, I believe?) carburetors for a good price on Craigslist... was hoping someone could fill me in on these?  They came with dual port manifolds that appear to be genuine VW (they have VW and Audi logos, the brand name "VARGA" and what appears to be a VW part number stamped on them).  The carbs have been fully polished, so the only identification markings on them are "Weber" Ws on each carb... Just curious as to what I've got.  I was told they were set up with dual cables rather than linkage.  Just curious as to what anyone knows about them.

They look like those carbs Claudes sold back in the day. I had a pair on the first motor I built, couldn't get rebuild kits for them as I remember.

Weird, wacky stuff... I've never seen intakes with the VARGA brand on them, but I was thinking they must have been an early '80s or late '70s thing.  I've got an CB Performance 25th anniversary catalog somewheres, maybe I'll take a look-see later on.

The weird thing is the accelerator pumps aren't on the side like one would expect, the pushrod goes vertical not horizontal.  They appear to be in good shape, but will look more in depth at them later!

I can't remember about the accelerators, but mine had the same manifolds. I think my dad bought them new in the early 80's and had them on our Westy.

Claude's Silver Anniversary catalog to the rescue!   Turns out they're not ICH's but DFVs... I can tell by where the mixture screws are located, kind of in an odd location at angle facing the fan shroud and firewall, rather than the rear of the car at an angle.
