Ritchie and Jo, as you guys know, we love running at The March Meet to start off our racing season.  For the bracket racer classes it's more the "hanging out" than the actual racing.  We had over 200 cars in our Hot Rod class.  We went out in the second round.

We broke a crank last year at the Fontana PRA race and it was a $$$ scramble over the off season to get all of the parts together in time to make it to the March Meet.  With appreciation to Mike Herbert (Rancho) and Jason Laufler (VW Paradise) they worked with "our late schedule" and helped us make the event.  We went to Bakersfield with a "three day old" fresh new engine that had zero runs on it.  We are not allowed to run Nitrous at the March Meet and did not have the car tuned correctly for the event.  We lowered the oil level after the 11.94 first round win, and it seems to be fine now.

Looking forward to the two VW races at Phoenix in two weeks.

Hi john,

good effort to get it all done and make it in time, having people like Jason & Mike helping makes it possible for sure Smiley  That puff of oil at the end did just look like a valve cover or similar issue so glad you got it figured out,we both missed being there this year, especially the food Cheesy so next year it is back on our schedule again for sure, and we plan on bringing 2 cars to race along with Jo's westy bay window so we can stay at the track the whole weekend Grin.
Good luck with the racing this year,I am sure we will see you all later in the year

cheers Richie
