Thought I'd share this  Cool

Firstly the car has been through some serious development over the last year. So only last week I've been tuning on the road! (without NOS)

Well I was 2 up in the bug and just telling my passanger I needed to warn up the oil before I showed them all about the 'old school'. I was driving on the A13 (like a freeway) when some ass starts cutting in and out of lanes at pace in a Porsche GT2! So not to miss an opportunity I went for the chase, the guy takes the next exit knowing in right behind.

We both go around the round about side by side and I'm on the out side as we take the exit at 20-30mph in 2nd gear we both GUN IT! all the way through 2ND 3rd and just into 4th before braking for the next set of lights. NAILED him but only just half a car length, now although I was pleased and the cars tall geared for NOS I thought I might have done better!

At the next set of lights the 'GUY' didn't even look over  Roll Eyes However the next day when I look up the spec of the 2004 GT2 no wonder he was pissed. It's a monster!

GT2 2004
Technical specification:

 Specific power: 98.31 kW/liter (2.16 hp/cu in)
 Maximum torque: 640 N·m (470 lb·ft) @ 3500 rpm
 Specific torque: 177.78 N·m/liter (2.14 lb·ft/cu in)
 Transmission: 6-speed manual
 Length: 4,450 mm (175.2 in)
 Width: 1,830 mm (72.0 in)
 Height: 1,275 mm (50.2 in)
 Wheelbase: 2,355 mm (92.7 in)
Front track: 1,485 mm (58.5 in)
Rear track: 1,520 mm (59.8 in)

New they are $245,000 so no wonder he was pissed, HAPPY DAYS  Tongue

I bet he won't race a bug or anyone else for a while.  Grin

I've found it is more rewarding if owner's gf looks over smiles and waves while the driver looks straight ahead.  Cheesy
It is driver dependant, you out drove him.
No doubt the world is full of Porsche owners that have not had any performance driving training, you prolly found one.
Here is a GT2 and a ZR1 at the mile.

This is a new owner/driver in his GT3 cup car (track/race only).
400+hp, sequential shift, radial slicks...
I passed him twice in the same place.  Wink
With an experianced driver the GT3 Cup car is much faster than my old 911.

Hello Henk, I was half a car length in front  Grin not behind! Hope the new motor goes well

Regards Paul

Hello Dave,

Long time no  speak! I hope your well,

I'll tell a little but not all, you know how it is.

I've reworked the heads which developed approximately 8% gain in flow all the way from initial to full lift.
Carbs and the manifolds have been modified
New exhaust system
Raptor cam, lifters & ally pushrods.

Before when I drove the car on the road (without NOS) the car struggled to pull the tall gearbox. Now the engine is much better and revs higher without losing power.

All the best Paul
