I was there in 2010, there might be one or two cars worth saving. They were sooooo rusty! A split bus was so rusty above the rain gutter line, you could lift the roof off.

I saw the pic of the two Type 4's... I say crush those twice...lol. Those 411/412 monstrosities had to be one of Volkswagen's worst ideas ever... aside from the engines, at least.

From what I read in the therad, in all seriousness, it sounds like the guy was still trying to get top dollar for the cars rather than offer them at rock bottom prices or even giveaways... it's only a tragedy, I suppose, if the cars have any redeeming value, and are not all rotted to crap.
