lifters do ned swap them ?

and i was told to swap my lifter that are now good 
is this true . do i need to tear down my engine ?

you were given very good advice on your motor build.
the answer is yes. replace them.
if you dont you will be rebuilding this motor very soon

Unless the motor is a completely STOCK motor, using reground lifters in a high performance motor, IMO, given historical problems of cams and lifters, is a guarantee for disaster. My rule: reground lifters are USED lifters.
New lifters are a minor expense compared to the damage caused by a cam/used lifters coming apart.

Its your Euros.

You should ask their customers (motors that they have built) whether they had cams go flat or lifters fret.

Spending a wad of cash on a hi-po motor and using used/reground lifters creates a weak point in the motor. too many unknowns (oil type you will be using/driving style/usage)-been there/done that.

After all, its only common sense.

Ask for referrals from the builder. talk to the owners of these motors. talk to professional engine builders where you are located too.

this is both an engine build philosophy issue as well as a technical question.

lots of opinions from other enthusiasts but they will not be paying your rebuild bill when the motor must be rebuilt.

lifters are now like bearings and piston rings, IMO, as the major internal wear parts in a VW AC hi-po motor.

would you use used bearings in your hi-po vw motor?
