I saw those race @ Zolder in the late 90's.Beautiful engineerd cars for sure.
I believe a few off these still race, but together with other brand racecars.
But ask "Ole" here on the lounge,he still owns a "cupcar",that he used to race.

What happened to all those cars?

Some were parted out, some (very few) were turned (back) to street cars, some still race, but the biggest number of them is sitting somewhere collecting dust...

Problem is these cars don't meet the rules for any official Championship in Germany. There has been an "Outlaw-class" some time ago (the Divinol-Cup), but it's a series for surgeons and lawyers playing with their GT3s and Ferrari's today.

Some bring their cars to historical "races" (they do this regularity stuff), definitely better than collecting dust, but that's not racing for me.

I still have my car, but it's one of the dust-collectors mentioned above. Last race was almost ten years ago if I remember correctly...

Instead of getting it ready to hit the track again I'm currently working on another car. Working on this car brings back a lot of memories. It's very special to me as it's the car of a very good friend who died a couple of years ago. Can't wait for the 2012 season...

Ole

Love it.

If there's any out there gathering dust, would love one.......... I saw these race in le mans at the super VW nationals in the early 90s and think they are ace, never knew you had one.......... Conversation missed there I think. Next time.
