Well as always guys - As the title says......   1964(ish) VW Fire/water pumps - info/specs needed please  Smiley

I picked up one of these little motors yesterday (see pic) its been sitting for a LONG time buts its only done 150hrs and is in very good overall condition with ALL its original parts,

it has some really cool parts and seems to be a mix of 30hp/6v parts (28pci carb, dyno etc) but the rest is a later 1200cc item  Undecided

Here are the numbers from the plate on the fanhousing:

- 34hp (DIN) 1192cc
- Typzeichen 10-079
- Case/engine No: 122-192896

Look forward to hearing what you know guys  Smiley

So I am definitely no expert on these things, but I happen to have a small book titled 'Without Guesswork', 'Technical Data for Work Carried Out on Vehicles' dated 1972. It has lots of stuff for a great many models including 'Industrial Engines' over quite a long history. I got years ago at a swap meet and it has been quite useful over the years. I like the line inside the cover: "It should be carried by every VW specialist and not just put into a drawer somewhere".

Anyway, here's the pages relevant to industrial engines.

Done. Sorry 'bout that - this is what happens when you muck around with fancy new mobile phones rather than a twelve year old scanner which is the correct piece of kit  Wink
