thanks for all your answers amigos!

here is the deal:

one of my friends here in MEXICALI,BAJA. wants to put some big webers on his 2054CC but he wants to use filters so thats why i'm asking for your help.

he send me a email saying that he wants to use a pair of 48 IDF'S on his engine and the number 1 reason is that he can use the normal oval elements filters like this ones

but i answer him that he can use 48 IDA'S whit filters too! so if i can find a please where he can buy this filters, he is going to be another VERY HAPPY owner of a pair of MIGHTY 48 IDA'S!!!!!

THANKS AMIGOS

IMHO I'd use a pair of "Outerwears" over those K&N's if I was driving around on Mexicali's dusty (dirt) roads.

YOU ARE RIGHT MY FRIEND!!!

mexicali have more dust than the SAHARA DESERT  Grin

In the words of Mark Herbert:

"Filters are for people who want to make their IDA's look stupid"

I'm not totally comfortable running w/o some sort of filter, but upon tear down, I was surprised.  I ran my motor a while w/o filters, then added the stack filters.  Cylinders looked great.
