Has anybody made a test on pump gas vs race fuel on the dyno ?

Same dyno same day same engine  Wink

I did this with the same compression. No difference but different jets. Race fuel needs bigger main jets. The fuel does not make the more power , but the compression you can run with race fuel .  In my opinion the compression does not make that much more ..

The engine should only use the octane it needs,if its low enough compression to run pump gas,whatever that may be for you, then running higher octane race gas wont help anything.Unless its a turbo or nitrous engine then it would allow more boost or nitrous to be used,but then any comparission is irrelervant

I started my Raceengine today for the first time with Racefuel (Panta)...
And i can say...the best is it smells better... I like it Wink

You will make less hp with race gas.
Like UDO said, the compression makes the power, not the fuel.  The fuel just prevents detonation.

I like our 100 octane shell V-power . this fuel is amazing. The intake valves ,chamber and pistons look like they are save lubed . You can wash the clean very easy.
If you do not want to go over 13 compression i would highly recommend this

I remember arriving one day early to Johannnes when I booked dyno and tuning help for my old 2332 NA/nitrous engine. We popped by to say hi and he was working on tuning a old, classic rally Mini Cooper. The owner wanted to squeeze every last HP out of it for the final and the only thing left was to try different fuels.
He had tried two different race fuels and the Shell 99 octane. He got the best results with the Shell fuel.

Yes, with high compression NA drag engines (13-14.5:1) I have witnessed a few times best results with highly oxygenated fuels, e.g. VP MS109. Your results may vary...

In the latest HotVW's Performance Engine book #3, there are some back to back dyno tests on a 2776 cc.  C12 produced 4-5 HP more than pump gas from about 5000-6500 rpms (all other settings the same).

My engine is set up to run C16 , but that said , isent it possible to run pump gas with other settings in the DTA brain ?
Dosent it have to do with adjustment in the ign. curve ? And by that affecting the output ...
