I just saw the news that Andy Griffith has passed away at age 86.  For those of you who grew up in America back in the early 1960's he had to have been a part of your life.  His show was small town America and taught us good values towards our fellow man.  Unlike so many of the shows that are on TV these days there were lessons to be learned.  I still watch his shows and always enjoy the messages they offer.

God's speed Andy and be sure to tell O'l Barn we miss him too..............     Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

Bummer.  I loved those shows when I was a kid.  Goober just passed a month or two ago, also.

This is an example of why the show is so fondly remembered today:

His "No time for Sergeants" movie is still funny after all these years. But unfortunately, he made his Leftist political views known in his later years.

From that point on I only see the actor and not the characters they're portraying. In a sense ruining the illusion/fantasy.  Just my two cents.

Thank God many of those old shows are still being aired. We'll miss ya, Andy, and thank you for the wonderful memories.
