Offering this 1986 vanagon GL up for sale as I tried to help out a friend in need, and the repairs have nailed me to the wall. Straight body with original appliance white exterior and showing slight patina on the sun side(driver side). recent repairs just completed and include/ball joints/belts/lines/hoses/gas sender/evaporation lines hoses/resealed gas tank and filler/new coolant housing. Good suspension/good brakes/good clutch/good coolant line&hoses/good C.V. joints/good shocks/xlnt tires/Factory option mag wheels/Super clean (grey/blue) orig interior with rear cushion and rare option fold down Z-Bed and middle seating. Healthy larger 2.1 engine gone through by previous owner mated to a smooth operating 4 speed with a good operating clutch ( 3rd gear synchro showing its age). Runs and drives good but need to move on to a new home. If you or someone you know is looking for a clean Vanagon please contact me @ (dynodonmc@aol.com)   $6500.  Thanks and Happy Holidays/ Dyno don

Hi Fred, I sold my pristine 86 vanagon a few weeks ago for $7500. after owning for nearly 12 years. I sold her to a wonderful new family who appreciates everything about the mechanicals I invested my time and energies into.  This vanagon is in need of a new good home as well/either I keep it and drive it or sell it and keep my 71 sedan..?   Im just a simple man...      surfs up/Dyno

Wow... can't believe that '86 is gone now. Loved that vehicle. I see that you're selling your Standard too. Wish I had the money for that. I dig late Standard cars.

IF I only had a brain/LOL...  Had a very nice couple to buy my 71 but decided not to sell it as I LOVE driving her about town and decided to sell my Blue 86 instead thinking that was a wise choice for myself at the time to pay some bills and get ahead of my game plan. Well, nowadays money just doesnt stretch the way it use to. I reinvested in the new purchase 86 to help someone with a dire situation only to find out that im through the stars in repairs and now kicking myself in the Royal Ass for letting my blue vanagon go. I literally had only 30K on EVERYTHING NEW from front to rear but times are tough and getting tougher with the world economy the way it is. My new purchase will no doubt be a nice ride when all said and done but the sedan just brings out the "VW roots in me" for some weird reason. Just went to Mcfadden dale hardware today with the white Vanagon and came back outside only to see a lake of coolant underneath which I know is from the thermostat housing...no worries...just ANOTHER vanagon repair/LOL... Ive already gone from the front to rear with a checklist and knew about the seapage but didnt think it would create kaos this soon. Overall this is a nice vanagon with a nice interior, clean chassis and soon to be, repaired goodness...(SOMEONE BUY IT SOON)....Happy Holidays/Dyno Don
