fuel sender resistances

Hi guy's,

I want to order a 'autometer' fuel gauge to complete the load out on my 1965 beetle. Now they sell 4 different gauges to use but i have no idea what the OHMS resistance on a vw sender...

Has anyone tested there's to see what OHMS resistance is and what autometer fuel gauge did you buy?

Any help on this would really help,

The Autometer gauge doesn't use a dedicated sender of the same brand? I figured that would be the case for any aftermarket/non-OEM fuel gauge set-up, but I'm out of the loop on this one. I know I'm struggling to get my stock gauge to work properly in my '70 Beetle, and I've replaced every part imaginable. I can only figure that maybe the sending unit is defective at this point.

73 Ohm - 10 Ohm.
Found this Googling, and it's actually pretty clear and concise. Good write up.

I used this one which has the correct reading for a stock sender
