Hey John, hope your doing well and will continue to get better. Hope to see you at Bug-In. Take care.

Sorry for the highjack....

Ted

Thanks Ted.  Gonna try to make Nick's tonight to help with crowd control as Ed Craig signs autographs... Grin Grin

I'm not sure if I'll make it to the fine gathering tonite.  Coming back from Bugstock last weekend, the Ghia developed a oil line leak, so its down at the moment.  If I do, it'll be in the Corvette, so expect very limited autograph signing!   Smiley

Don't worry Ed, many like PLASTIC cars and it will go well with your tacky outfit.  You will still have them standing in line just to get a handshake and signature.  By the way you do know how to spell Stan Davis don't you??   Shocked Tongue

Says the guy with a nose-down car on alloys.  Roll Eyes

We can change that, you know. We've already talked about it.  Grin

I started the transformation yesterday by, uh, taking the cover off the car.

I was searching through my photo file for something else but found this shot.  This would have been Christie's Senior Prom in 1968.  I was home on leave between tours of duty in the Gulf of Tonkin.  Photo is shot in my parents driveway.  Neither one of us look happy but I'm happy to see I still had hair then!!!

You are viewing stock rear fenders with Aluminum strips attached to keep the law happy.  Americans with adapters and Chevy bolt pattern on the rear.  Front are non slotted chromies with Porsche Caps (real ones).  Note the yellow around the Porsche shield.  Rear quarter windows are tinted with candy blue paint.  One had to be an "artist" to get the correct clear viewing.  This process was done in the rear seat without removing the glass.  I think I can still smell the paint fumes....
