The only onboard footage ever taken of Frog Guts... The 'mystery' gasser!
Thanks Russell for the opportunity (although it has been said that I'm the only guy foolish enough to drive it...). Smiley

Cool footage.

It must be really alien driving that car, how difficult did you find it?

What sort of times & speeds did you achieve?

Actually, it wasn't quite as bad as I expected but I was amused to see when viewing the whole video, that I selected the gears in the staging lane with my left hand, but shifted on the track with my right hand!

The car ran straight, the hand-operated brake worked fine and the engine was good – only the misplaced steering wheel was an irritation!

Times? Only made that one half pass...

Presumably because your right hand was on the brake in the staging lane?

Has Russell got something against straight steering wheels  Tongue  The Dave Andrews car is the same isnt it??

No idea of the engine spec but it has all the hallmarks of a roller-crank, slipper-skirt motor. Love it!

When the butterfly steering wheel is indexed at 9 to 3 it might be less in the way for the between the knees shift lever.

Grin Grin SWEET!!!  I,ve been waiting too see that for a long time!  That car was built and raced by Tim Goodrich.  He's known more for his Porsche 356 restorations.  Frog guts was built when he owned J&T motors.  Good to see it out, not just collecting dust!
