I sent a set of cylinders out to be freshened up but the machine shop found some damage.  So I may be faced with buying a new set of 94mm pistons and cylinders.  Would you just run them or would you hone them before installing them?

Hone the new cylinders at a machine shop? Yes, do it. They are never straight from the factory.

Hey Don,  There were small cracks at the base of the cylinder...  That's all I know.  I suggested machining the cylinder or blending away the cracks so they can't migrate.   We'll see.   Waiting on info from the shop.
