'67 Lower decklid stand-off

Is there anyone out there who makes a proper lower decklid stand-off for a '67 bug? I know at least one person who runs a really nice piece on his car, but the dude who makes them doesn't do it all that often. I'm currently running the stock latch plate stuck on top of two pieces of an aluminum pushrod that I cut, bent, and drilled/tapped on both ends, then ran sump plate studs to fasten them to the car, and screwed the plate on with the stock screws. I'm actually pretty proud of it, all things considered, but I wouldn't mind some way to keep the decklid from bouncing and rattling around, since there's no real stop for it now.

My car is what it is, maybe not Cal Look per the books, but it's more than most.

Use a 65-66 latch and weld on a short extension for the snubber to rest.

That seems like a pretty clever idea... I dunno why, but the classic tennis ball never really had much appeal to me

That's the one I'm looking for! Although Zach's diy one looks like it'd be fairly easy to replicate.

Very easy if you can weld and grind. It doesn't prop it open very far though.
