I believe this story has been bunked.... It really wasn't a true barn find, where a guy purchased the property and finds this barn with a zillion cars within it. But rather, the true owner had someone take photos of HIS collection, and the photos got out into public. |

 To quote:
"Old Cars Weekly just tracked down the story behind the story, and the real explanation is almost as good as the hoax. What we are actually seeing in those pictures is the collection of an automobile dealer who over the years has added many vehicles that caught his fancy. He just drove them to the barn and parked them there, presumably waiting until he decided what to do with the lot of them next. About a year ago he sent in a photographer to document the collection, and those pics are the ones circulating the internet, helping to create and sustain this myth. So now you know the truth behind the Great Portugal Barn Find..."

I will tell you a bad story that happen to me and my wife with our wedding giftmy wife come from Portugal, his family lives in the center of the country near lisboa and in his family town had a vwshop
in 2001 we planified the wedding for 2003 in portugal and we decide to buy a bug at the local vwshop called
 FUSCOMANIA as wedding gift
the guy say to me that I just have to choose one of his old bug and he will to the job to get the bug like new I finnaly choose a 58 bug with sunroof and semaphore
finnaly we wait 2 years durring this period the guys from fuscomania had lies to me and my wife for the car work and the bug is not ready for the event and when the wedding finnaly arrives may be 2 or 3 days before we arrive in portugal he called me in france and say to me that a big fire happen in his vwshop and that all the vws inside are burn mine too
I couldn'believe my eyes and we were very sad and angry about FUSCOMANIA
the bug was payed but the guys from vwshop had spend the money and we must have wait over 4 years to get the money back
my wife parents just get me back the end of the money right now since 4 year
We could get back the money only because my wife dad go every days since that happen he just live at 2 minutes by walk so he saw the guys every where in the town and ask him to money everytimes
I am sad to say that but enjoy the pictures
