Not sure if this has been addressed in the past but I am looking to see if anyone knows once you have the body installed back on the pan what is the proper sequence on tightening the pan bolts and torque.

   Thanks

Hi , i think you should not use a torque wrench but an 8mm screw gets not more than 2,5 NM if it has not more than 8,8

As vw has a tech spec for that work with torque settings I would follow that.
They have build some, maybe millions?  Grin

Here is the repair manual, in german:
Click A: Aufbau

https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/en/repairmanual_52_57?___store=classicpartsenglisch&___from_store=classicparts

Look page 11.
First all M10 screws in order shown slightly attacted, then the M8. Torque the M10 in order, than M8.
retorque after some driving...

Vw torque spec
M10 3mkg = 30Nm/ norm M10 8.8= 48Nm
M8 2mkg = 20Nm/ norm M8 8.8= 25Nm

Best greetings, Felix
