Gene Berg quick shifter
«

Hi everybody
I have a Gene Berg quick shifter with 60% reduction in my 67 and I don't like the rather harsh shifting.
Is it possible to convert it to 40%?
It has the separate quick shifter plate which I could remove but how about the position of the upper ball? Any chance to change that?
Best regards Stefan

Converting it will require lots of new parts when you send it back to Berg to be converted. The best thing to do is sell it and buy a 40% shifter.
The 60% shifter should never be used in a street car with synchronizers.
