Quick, go out in the garage, look in your tool box, and count the number of 13mm wrenches you own. Who has the most?

I have five. (and seven 14mm, go fig)

I guess it’s more special to have metric tool in the states, but anyway I have between 10-20 I would guess... how many of them I can find within reasonable time... probably 5

I guess it must be about 10 BUT how many 11mm wrenches do you have? I have about 8-10 and nearly each one is modifoied in any way to fasten/loosen those damn nuts on the manifolds...

Nah, its just the most common size nut/bolt on a VW. And even though I know I have five, it seems I can never find one when I need one.

I've got 5 Craftsman, 3 Snap On, 1 Mac, 1 Matco, 2 11x13 Hazet, 2 13x17 Hazets and about 10 Chinese ones. I carry all Chinese tools in my car in case I loose one or give them away etc. I find most of them at yard/estate sales for real cheap.

Best investment ever Mike! I bought my dad two sets of Halfords ratchet spanners - the regular ones and the ones with the flexable heads. There are so many jobs that they make it easier to do. Smiley

i might have to strip the car down, just to get to use them Smiley  My brother got them from the tool man at his work.  He fits imported cars at Bristol docks.  Gets a shed load of money to make them UK spec, before they go off to the dealers.  He also gets Snap-on and Britool very very cheap.

This post inspired me to go out and organize the top drawer of my tools, here's what I cam up with:

3 racheting combination
5 standard combination
1 shortie combination
2 12mm/13mm open end
2 13mm/8mm Hazet
1 13mm/15mm super offset double box end
1 cut-in-half combination (the box end)

Plus:
1 combination in my portable toolbox
1 combination in my mini toolbox in my car

= 17

Some were birthday/x-mas presents, some found, some inherited from friends that passed away.
