Why are you wasting time posting here when you could be out pulling the engine.  Cheesy

I had an 86b after my K8 went flat.  Never liked it!  When the 86b went flat I went back to a K8 and never looked back.  The 86c and others similar are great for high HP, but for a driver I just want the torque and the upper level HP I get with the K8.  It will pull from under 2000 rpm in 5th gear.  That's what I like.....!

Jim, do not fool with it. You have a street car, so do you really need that extra bit of top end. Curiosity killed the cat...If it isn't broke, don't fix it and what not  Grin

We'll drink beer and make engine noises. I know between all of us we can replicate 7000 plus.

Sounds familiar. 86c, baby on the way, painting baby's room(on Christmas day) making engine sounds up to 7k (gotta do it!). You guys practice your reactions times at stop lights too?! If you ride in my truck, you better bring a neck brace.

Go with the 86c. When and if you split it open, please let us know how the lifter bores held up. That is one reason I went with the 86c. Later.

motor's been quiet, so I assume everything is a-ok inside, no ticking, knocking, etc. I noticed, when I ran 86C before, it was really quiet, valvetrain wise. But so was the FK87 I ran too. I'm curious how the cam/lifter faces look.....after my last go round.
See you @ Nicks.
