YESSIR! 'Twas a proud day for me, too. I remember it well. Couldn't wait to race home and put 'em on.

In Half A Brain we dished out the stickers to anyone! Pay your subs and you're in!
The original ones were great big single colour rear window stickers, usually white but occasionally coloured to match the car. When the club went through it's big cal look phase we borrowed and modified the DKP eagle logo, and had two versions, sone by different printers. The first batch were no where near as good as the second ones, but it was a real big thing for us to have these new stickers that gave a nod to the direction we wanted the club to head in. It's not so much the sticker itself, but the reason behind the sticker.

While we're on about club stickers, were there ever any cases of guys having their stickers scratched for one reason or another and then not coming back to the club? I described it to a friend and he said it seemed harsh to scratch stickers.

I assume you mean like having stickers pulled for the car no longer meeting club standards... I don't remember it being too much of an issue. It was usually pretty clear what merited stickers and what did not. Also, there was plenty of help available to get cars back up to club standards.

Amen, brother! It was truly an honor to have those D.K.P. or D.K.K. stickers on a VW back then. We were always on the prowl for club cars that were sold with the stickers on 'em. LOTSA FUN! HAHA!!

yeah man, we got duped. I knew there was something up with that guy. Always makes for a funny story though. I guess we should have looked into some transfer decals that went inside windows. I still have a few left, and even a few shirts left. Now if I could find our old banner...!
I remember first time I windexed my windows and they ran into the gutter....
