Hi guys, can anybody tell me how to mount the Empi chrome moly I beams Undecided   The Note that was included with the I beams tells me to mount the notch at the top side(like a standard) But the beam has no notch at all!!!   Are the big end and the small end in line?
I'm confused, the note says otherwise.
I also need a good tip to split a case with shuffle pins , I'm mocking up a new engine and split it already several times, it was very difficult so I'm afraid to damage the case.Hope to see some good advise, thanx!

They have a notch! The bearing notch, just where the bearing halves meet. If they don't have a bearing notch you have a BIG problem...

yes, they do have the notches for the bearings. But they dont have the forging on one side like the originals. The note  also  says to match the sides with the numbers (on the big end)you guess,...no numbers.
Okay,..I know that you mount them with the notches opposite and I mount them on the same way they came out of the box but it confuses me,does Empi always provide incomplete or bad mounting instructions? Sad

Somebody good tips on splitting shuffle pin casses?

On the bottom where the case joins use a flat end screwdriver on top of a stud levering against the fin, slide in the flat of the screwdriver between the fins, you usually need to do this both ends, this will give you enough gap to open it up at the top as well,I usually go between the case right at the top where it doesnt affect the sealing area, cheers richie,uk

Perfect, and if that still doesn't work. Heat up the case with your wife's hairdryer and the halfs will part easily. My 2 cts.
