Why can you do only 50% of sellers ever get back to you when you send them an email. Huh

I've had my eye on a set of 48IDAs and heads and emailed the guy 4 or 5 times through the samba and craigs list and no responce. Even a F**k off would be nice  Angry Angry

Dont you guys in the us like us in the uk, is it too much trouble posting things to us?HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh??

Not aimed at you guys on here, just dead heads on the samba

too be honest some of them don't like shipping outside the states.  Luckily I have a friend who allows me to have stuff sent to him in the USA.  I sometimes think I'm taking liberties, but i ensure they are always reinmbersed quickly.

Some people just suck... I committed to buying a set of IDAs once (I knew they were cheap and likely projects), but the guy sold them to someone that inquired after me anyway... I found out later the carbs came off a sandrail and were junk, so I guess it was a blessing in disguise.  It does suck when people don't write back, I will agree.

just wish they were straight up and make it clear that they only want to deal with buyers in the US. I know a lot do make it clear which is fair enough Roll Eyes

I have checked out a few cars that were on there in the last few weeks. They all were total piles O' crap, most had the condition listed as a 2 or better and were in the 4-6k region. I was only getting about 2 out of 5 replies back also.

This is something I also have experienced. Seems like a 50% chance of getting a reply from sellers in the US. How come? Cant`t understand, if you put something out for sale, it must be of interest if you get a potential buyer?? The world is smal now, it`s no bigger deal to send something to the neighbour town then to another country...

The odd thing is that some ads lay out for a "eternity", and you get no reply.....

The nice thing though is, when you do GET a reply, it`s always very nice, helping people Smiley

Don't feel too bad... many of us live in the States and we get it, as well. I fully agree with you; when something's for sale and there's a way of contacting the seller, the seller should be jumping at the chance to respond. It's not just limited to The Samba. I've dealt with it on Craigslist, but not as frequently. I hear, from my many friends that live on eBay, horror stories regarding those auctions. Thankfully, I don't do business on that site.

Sadly, the following quote is the current state of affair(s):

lack of courtesy is worldwide these days dude.......being polite is a dying art.

But every now & then, a polite seller surfaces. They still exist... just not as often as in years gone by.

Its not just TheSamba Ron , although I've had the same problem there myself . Im having problem's at the moment getting hold of a guy over here after I won a Empi eyebrow lid on Ebay  , but if you think TheSamba is bad you want to try German Ebay ,When I was putting the 49 together I found the best way to get hold of affordable parts was there , those guys wont let anything leave the father land especially if its going to england  Roll Eyes

I've tried to buy quite a bit of stuff on the Samba without a great deal of success though that said the bits I have got have been pretty cool as were the sellers. I've never been let down by anyone on there as such; I just never heard back from people a lot of times, I think I've probably had something like a 20% hit rate on that front.
