it was in 94 that was the first fiat 850 with flat4 engine  , at the time I was only for 2 years in the vw mvnt , and didn't know a lot of thing about empi firm (the car , product, etc...)
i never know at that time that empi have build an 850 fiat , and when i saw the report with the car i said  waouww what's that car? never seen before i said what kind of vw is it???..... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
and after reading the report  i was on the bottom of knowledge that we could put one flat4 in a fiat and learnt that empi had made a gasser on a 850 fiat .this day that would indeed enjoy always to make me a 850 cal look fiat

have you noticed the empi eliminator shifter on the fiat  Shocked Shocked

this one was owned by gino garcia and after this one , later gino build another car who wants to be the correct replica of the inch pincher too ,  But this car became the ancient)chop top of clyde berg which lives  now in Holland

Gino's Fiat went to Japan as a daily driver??? New owner figured this would be a nice street car... with an FK89 and tons of compression. Yeah, right. I rode in it with Gino on the 8 Freeway. With no seat belts, it was a sure death trap.

WOW! What a sweet lookin' car. I'd only add the factory Euro spec bumpers and paint 'em to match the body color or silver. Beings that the wheels had Italian involvement... they'd stay.

I wonder how many people on the thank you list in the article still have money coming to them?

I hear from Gino every now and then. He now sells/rents medical equipment for home use in San Diego. He has mellowed out a lot since the haydays of the Empi craze, and the chop top mess. I had to go to court on that one.... Judge Judy wanted the case, but luckily no one took up their offer.
