this was a wonderful season start. Nice weather....finally. Yeeeez. Also we have a summer...........hahahaha, maybe. Since last weekend its raining again....nonstop.

Here some pics of the Typ 3 day....................enjoy

Really like this Fastback. Only things I'd do different is swap the wheels for BRMs or natural finish Fuchs 2 liters, make the bumpers straight blades only, and remove the fog lights.



Still, a great looking car, nonetheless.

…then convert it into a '67 Bug, then paint it red, then...  Grin Grin Grin

hey mark you realize the overrider/ fog light accessory is close to $1500 or more and highly desired in the type 3 world

Yep! I'm fully aware of that. In fact, if my oldest and best friend, Bob, ever visits this forum... I'll be punched in the face for posting that. He does body-off VW restorations and has owned literally over 100 cars since we were teenagers. He has a super clean Java Green '67 Beetle and a gorgeous Turquoise '62 convertible Beetle. But his specialty has always been Type 3 cars.

But I can't stand all of that accessory stuff, and prefer my cars to be more factory stock and plain. Hence why I originally posted that. HAHA!!

No, Keith... my family has owned a couple of Fastbacks and I grew to like them. One we bought new in '69 and another in 1982. Both great cars. And, besides... I would never own a red car. Not my color.
