Jim, is this an article in the mag, or the soft back book? The soft back book were 42's.  Mag....not sure.

it was the series in the magazine.... Dean K authored it, K8 Engle, JEff Denham welded VW heads, 48's...I think they tried a shortened header collector on it, different mufflers....  had yellow tin and fan housing.

I only ran 40mm venturis on the 2275cc engine. I now wish we at least tried 42mm, but Roger Crawford said to stick with the 40s, and he is right about a true streetable combination. I always wondered what power that engine could have made with the larger venturis. Dean

I wish they would replace those thick copper head gaskets with some thinner ones Smiley Along with the 42 vents, I bet that motor would make over 200.

I photo copied all of those articles and made my own little book. We are using it on Slinger's 2276 build.
