To make it fair, the car was completely 100% rebuilt from the ground up.. the only thing from the exterior photo have in common is the rear Firestone slicks. I had them recapped...

when I think back to seeing those cars for the first time, around that time... the color green always comes up. A lot of very cool green cars in the lineup.... very few ever got much press.
It was a cool era back then to see these cars. Like a shot in the arm.

Thank you  Cool I wouldn't have gotten interested in Volkswagens at all if it hadn't been the DKP III cars in mags early to mid 90's.
