Rubber cam plug

I've got a case with a Rubber cam plug, and i was wondering if it's worth trying to get the case machined to accept a metal one or is it really worth bothering about.

Motor will be a 2387cc/FK89 10-10.5

I had a rubber cam plug fall out of a brand new 1600 mexican engine the other day, came from ssp! but to be fair i've never had a problem with the little rubber fellas, leave it be!!
