It's old school for a reason

I've been looking at this to cut down on the noise on longer trips.

Anyone used this with good results ?

I know it adds weight but I think the 36ft2 roll comes in at 7kg

I used b-quiet extreme and was very happy with it.  Just like Dynamat, but cheaper.

We'll try and sort out something nearer the time  Cool

rolls of self adhesive flashband from b+q or the like will do a similar job .
then apply "horse hair" or similar carpet backing on top , then your trim to cover it all .

All I did was the motor side of the firewall and it helped a bunch.  After that, I skuffed up the foil backing on it with a scotchbrite pad and shot it with some 3M undercoating for a tough, simple looking firewall that wouldn't fall off the spikes and get sucked into the fan  Roll Eyes

Just be cautious though, the adhesive on that stuff is CRAZY strong!
