I remember reading something in the Berg Tech book a long time ago about running Type 2 bump stops and setting up the rear suspension so that there would be some travel before the bump stop connects with the metal on the control arm.  I do not remember the specs.  Can someone tell me how much distance should be between the bump stop and the metal when the car is level and nothing compressed?  Mine is very close at rest with nothing compressed.

Thanks for the help!

That's how a pilot of a mustang checks his throttle control before firing the merlin Grin
