Well, Its been 6 and a half years since my bug was stolen and I would still like to have it back.  Well even if I don't ever get it back I would like to know who took it.

A little background on it.  It was my first car I built it when I was 17 and it ran 12.60s.  It is sea blue and had a 2110 in it.  Jeff Denham heads, fully polished IDAs and the cas had MICRO MOTORS stamped into it on top of the case.  It had a brand new Steve Beecher built box in it. and all new interior.  It was stolen at around 11am on a friday in september 2002.  The car was in my parents garage in Cerritos California.

If anyone knows who took it or where it might be I would be inclined to donate some cash to them!   So let me know.  If you dont want me to know who you are call me from a private number at 562-884-2373

thanks Taylor Walton

I hope you find it but it might be better to put the past behind you instead of picking at a scar! Just my opinion! My first car wasn't stolen. It ended up wraped around a telephone pole. '52 cal-look split with a 2 liter Lonnie Reed motor. Young and dumb at the time!

I hear ya Taylor! Just remember this though, who ever did steal it....What comes around goes around and it can be a MF! We all face our skeletons when we die. I truelly believe in this! It's best to clear them up before that time comes! IMO.

Looked like a real cool car.  Has an "old" vibe to it.  Sorry to hear about its sad fate.

I feel your pain, Taylor... had two cars stolen myself never to be seen again.  You've got to let it go... what did you plan to do when you figured out who did it; call the cops or take matters into your own hands?  If it's the latter of the two, forget it... your better then all that.  Time to move on.

That car had tons of style.  Shame it has never surfaced again.

I know what it's like Taylor.  I feel very lucky that I was able to get back at least the shell.  Everything was gone.  Even the glass.  If I was not to get back the same car all others that I might have built would not be the same.   I have owned my car sence 1971.  I know what it's like to have your first car and have it gone.      Dave Rhoads

Taylor,

You had a great car! Did you now part off it was featured in a French VW magazine, in an article about Art Gutierez 67?
First time that I see a picture off the whole car and I really like it.
