I love the engine (car is nice as well  Wink). Exactly the size I was looking at lately: 1904, and also lately I have again started looking at Turbo's. It might not be true cal-look, but oh does it look mean.

My plan would be to build that 1904 now(I wnated the slight bump to a trusty 1776, but with the added value of a small stroker) and add the Turbo later on. So could you elaborate on your set-up?

Nice engine, do you have any performance figures or 1/4 mls time? What boost are you running?

I am running something similar, 1914cc, 40 x 35.5, 8:1, mild cam, piston coolers, T3 and a Holley 350 and a Mallory ignition with map sensor.

I have no performance figures yet, the images were taken last season and the engine was a slightly modified (dual valve spring) stock 1585cc engine. It delivered 121 HP with only 5 PSI of boost.

Nice Car Dom. Very similar theme... Well done..

My motor is a 1904cc
Scat 74mm volksracer crank (I got new real cheap).
Scat I-beam rods.
Straight cut cam gears
90.5mm mahle p/c's.
Mofoco 042 heads (got them super cheap too). Mild p/p job with exh guides cut back. 3 angle valve job.
W-110 cam with stock rockers on solid shafts.
T-3 turbo on Matt Davis header.
Side draft 40mm Dell with many turbo mods.
boost-ref Holley regulator with Carter 14psi fuel pump.

The car has run a best of 12.23 @ 112mph on 16psi.
it is very consistent. I have run 12.20's with it every summer for the last 4yrs.
I take it to the track once a summer to lay down a # and get my "100mph club" sticker.

It made 193RWHP on a chassis dyno. 230ftlbs of torque.

I have the means to build a bigger motor for the car, but I am afraid to change anything. I'm kind of wating for something to fail, but it just keeps running strong.

The only issue I seem to have is with my old "RAYJAY" wastegate.

Time to upgrade to a TAL.

It sure does catch people off guard...

The motor is super rugged. I have done nothing  but drive it and hammer on it for several years now.  and all I have to do is change oil and plugs.
you can see that the dist cap is getting faded from being outside so much.
Ask anyone who knows me. I drive this car ALOT.

Tom, at what RPM did you get those 193 hp? Impressive times. What Ignition setting are you running? Fixed and locked dizzy? Isn't a w110 too much cam?

The peak hp was around 4,500rpm. Peak tq was around 3,500rpm.
It pulls easliy to 6,000rpm.
it all depends on how much boost I run. The more I run, the higher it seems to pull.

Mallory HyFire box. Locked dist 32deg with 8deg of retard on boost.
Blue coild feeding a Unilite dist. No ingintion issues at all.
Rev limit to 6,000rpm for street driving and 6,600rpm for track use.

He says that 12's should be possible, and in that case he has to lose some weight(+/- 40kg).  Cheesy

Hey Rune that's no schwizer dutch... that is schwiezer dütsch or schwiezer deutsch, dutch is something else  Roll Eyes

Peter's translation is perfect, I don't know why I keep writing English to you guys, Rune I hear you are half Austrian  Wink

Yes get back on track, can't wait... and Tom I lost 7 kg so far but now my weight wont budge... I guess I will have to crank up the boost level... changing the waste gate setting is far easier than loosing weight.

I am seriously trying to get rid of my midriff, if my doctor would no what motivates me after all that time he would send me to a metal institution…  Shocked
