I've tried to mount 155R15 tyres (Vredestein Sprint Classic) on 5,5 wheels (Flat4 Enkei Dish) but it seems that it's impossible to do, because the wheel is too much large. Did anyone try it too ? Or maybe I have to change the tyres ?
Thx.

I have a 155 Vredestein Sprint Classic on a 5.5" wheel for my spare.  Not sure what could be the problem.

If you cannot have the tyre expanding (BIG BANG) to the inner side of the rim, try it one or two times with
an inner tube. After that it should work.

The problem I have is when the tire is installed on the wheel, the inner and outer sides of the tyre don't fit the wheels sides, And I can't the tyre. It's strange 'cause there is a lot of cars running 155 or even 145R15 on 5,5 wheels. Huh

Is it definetly a 15" tire?  Does Vredestein make metric sizes?

I've run 135 on 5.5 for years (And now I don't recommend it as tires are really stretch on the wheels  Undecided ). It was a pity to put on the wheels but with this kind of thing it works.

my spare wheel is a 5,5 with a 145 tire
if you blow the air in the tire make sure that the valve is above on the tire and push there with your knee this open the tire a bit and helps to get it in place
this is how i learned it and it works for me

Ether or starting fluid and a match always worked for me. Be careful.

You can also try using a strap (tie down) or rope cinched down around the outside diameter of the tire. If you try it at home, remember to remove the valve stem (core). Wetting the bead with water and bouncing the tire around before trying to seat the bead works good too. Sometimes though,  the magic doesn't work and you need to refer to plan B! Grin

That's when you try the sure "fire" way (as instructed, BE CAREFUL!) Wink
