I would like to know any one that has installed the Cal Look window rubber on their car who has the best rubber on the market or that fits the best? Wolfsburg West or West Coast Metric or are there any other reproduction other than these two. Some of the Cal Look window rubber I have seen in the past look to wide from the original width. Any help is appreciated
Thanks Frenchy

If you can, try to find the german made/german-quality rubbers that fit european 1200/standard models. These models came without the chrome trim over here, so you get stock cal-look parts.

+1 on the late Euro stuff, that's what I got for my Super (1303) and it's really nice, OEM stuff. I got most of it from VW Heritage in UK.

These OEM rubbers are much better than what they usally call "cal-look" rubbers here, which are cheap low quality import stuff.

Hi Frenchie, I bought everyone's Cal Look rubber on the market and by far, the best is VW of Mexico made, but it only fits the later windows (including '67). It has the best fit, best finish, best glued seam (!), and is thicker than most others. I bought mine from a supplier in Mexico City who advertises on thesamba.... Not cheap, due partly to shipping... Look into it. I used it on my orange'67.

Good on you, Frenchy! That stuff keeps you in shape. No seriously, this photo above is all about the awesome striping kit that came with Jesse's 67.

I can recommend thisMade in Germany and really nice sealings for a standard beetle without trims - and cal-lookers edit: This is how those rubbers look:

The part that I always look at is the seam, where they glue the two ends together. Most are horrible!

Cheap ass rubbers, think it was £40 for all 4. Haha! Scrap that, £33.50. Wow, I feel like a total scumbag. They fit alright, bit tight on the glass. Joins are kinda messy but meh, I can't afford anything better right now. Ryan
