I was perusing the latest Hot VWs (August 2009) and noticed in an article about a 1776 engine assembly a sleeve type ring compressor. (Pg 68) and engraved on it was JayCee so today I emailed them and got a really quick response.  I phoned Jack and ordered one for 85.5, 90.5 and 94mm pistons.  $48 each and they are already on their way to me!  Yipee...!

Sorry I just thought that they were pretty cool and the price was right.  I don't build a lot of engines, but I do build my own and these will work great on future projects!

I've used all of those methods.  I prefer what I have ordered...
