has anybody used the reproduction hinges for a ghia? i now that there were some being made quite a few years ago that didnt even get the door close to alignment. but im seeing on the KGP&R site that the "new" hinges are supposed to work correctly. any feedback from personal experience, good or bad, no hearsay, or my buddy knew a guy, would be greatly appreciated

Randy,
A guy I work with bought a complete set for his 67 from kgparts.  I know he is very satisfied with them. let me know if you have specific questions.

my experience is that becarefull what hinges you are buying, theres some really bad ones. the material is really full of "bubbles" and the "early castings" breaks relly too easily. especially the lower ones. i would think that hindges made of steel would be better than aluminium, (the door is heavy & long)
thesamba.com has lots of writings and photos of this subject, trust me, i also wrote in there. ;-)
