I don't mean this to sound rude, what makes it a world record run? Is it a torsion bar 'pan car? Just curious as people talk about 'pan cars' but what are you refering too? Not the obvious floorpan, is it suspension system? The Red Baron is a 'pan car' but it is back halved..

That is realy a nice and fast car .Looks like it goes more straight than last year . Do they have a waterboxer case only or a watercooled engine ?

Yes, it is a torsion bar 'pan car' and on street approved DOT tires. The car is streetlegal and registered with turboengine in registration papers. (Wing, shute and weeliebars are changed with the "bonnet" when driven on the street

The car will be ready for the Right On dragrace in 1 1/2 week. Tor Øyvind did a little check up on the engine these last few days. Everything looks good. Had some issues with the expansion tank. but a new one is made.
Tor Øyvind has some awesome results over the years! He does high-end headwork , camshaft and turbo matching for a living...

Absolutely!! Especially the ProStock heads/engines (and the WBX) impresses me. Everything is just sooo modified and reworked. And don't forget that he also does complete street/race engines for drag/rally/rally cross etc, inkl this years over-all winner of Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique who got new engine with custom pistons, cam, headwork etc from TØ this winter

I was thinking the same thing Steve? And I also mean no disrespect at all, thats a huge acomplishment and great job for the hard work to get there. But How can it be a world record with Eric Calebrese and Eric Madsen, as well as Frank Estrada running in the mid to low 8 sec range?
http://www.youtube.com/v/2VS259FtWcUIf there is a reason I am unaware of that make this a legit WR then please let me know so I am not being a out of line. Again, Congratulations to the driver, owner, and team!

Given the same logic, how can Eric Calebrese have a world record when Tony Schumacher did a 4.428 ET in Top Fuel? Different "class" is the key, Tor Øyvinds car is a real street car with licence plates. On pump gas. Also there are no ladder bars or anything, just normal IRS conversion. Who has a better ET with these limitations? But I don't think he gives this "record" much thought.... this is just a hobby for him.
