Well it seems the hard work is paying off,we are running at Pinks all out in bakersfield this weekend, its a Speed vision TV event
we ran 9.95@141 then 9.90@143 yesterday and today 9.56@143 with a shitty 1.57 60ft,track temp is 130degrees right now making it hard to tune and launch but were having fun and the commentator and crowd are going crazy for the 4 VWs when they run

Hey Nicolas who told you that crap what's an intercooler i don't understand when it comes to putting water in things.
good to hear all worked out and with lower temperatures those times would have improved quite a bit i guess.

Well we were to quick!!!!!!!!!! they chose a 10.30 to 10.50 index to take the final 32 cars from,
on my last pass we had problems as the 3 cars in front of me all broke, meaning we had started the car ran it sitting waiting in 110degree + temps only to be shut off, told to start again, turned of then started again,by this time the engine was really hot,John from M&H tyres was with us and checked the tyre temp,118degrees just sitting waitingf before the burnout box,so we had soem detonation in 4th gear and I shut it off, looks like I may have torched a head.
Will have it fixed for Vegas in 3 weeks time.
Heres the videos of the first 3 passes, the last one was taken from some distance as they didnt want anyone filming what was going on

Great time hanging with you Richie. The weather was terrible. I don't know how that Rich Christiansen does it. The crowd really did like the VW showing. I guess everyone loves and underdog. The host gave two very special VW's a break that day, and for that alone I was happy. Richie you would have made the final cut if there were more cars that could run your numbers, your passes were crowd pleasers for sure. Won't see you in Vegas but maybe Fontucky.
