As much as I don't like Bay Windows I absolutely love this Dutch Bay:

Love the airbus, but it was the best in it's 1st config imho



This is my 70 deluxe on fuchs:





I got 5,5 fronts with 175/55/15 and deep 6 with 205/70/15 (on the bottom pic it's 5,5 with 185R15 on the back just for a weekend, I needed the 205/70 for my bug)

Front beam has adjusters, Oldspeed drop spindles & 944 disc brakes
Back has adjustable spring plates, modified CE 5*130 rotors & modified stub axles, Oldspeed 944 disc brake bracket & obviously 944 disc brakes..

1915 engine with 110 engle cam, 40 Idf's & single quiet pack, makes a great tow vehicle for a bug! Smiley

Wow!  Thanks guys for posting some more great looking bay windows with the cal look treatment.  I am building something truly unique with mine and will post the pictures when I have all the metal work done.  It will surprise a few people. I am going with either FUCHS or BRMS.  Have not made up my mind yet. I love the look of the alloys.

I can't help myself I have to post a pic from this years Das Drag Day

I ran a PB and then towed Dave back (I'm a good Crew Bitch even when am running myself)

And yeah it was a tad interesting towing on slicks at 16PSI (Not low for a beetle but damn low for a bus)

Front: flipped spindles, adjustable beam
Rear: adjustable beam and reset torsion bars...
Wheels: Flat 4 Fuchs 5,5" front and rear

Bays with ALLOYS just look right.  The white DUTCH Bay is definitely a nice one.  I love the stance.  Are the polished alloys 17's?

Hi, Rick.  Back in the mid 1990's I flew out to the Kelley Park VW meet in San Jose, CA. In the spectator parking lot was this wonderfully clean '71, wine red with cream roof. Owner was Barry Guscott from Vancouver, who drove it to the meet. Somewhat lowered but with a level stance.  IIRC he said he had a type 1-based 2-liter in it.     I used a 4" narrowed beam and dropped spindles with late bay discs and adapters to run the Flat Four wheels.

Thanks Bryan, I really like the Enkeis and how they sit in the wheel arch.
I am considering what to do with my Bays suspension and brakes , your setup is pretty close to what I was thinking of fitting.
