COOL cheers dude - I only just saw your reply  Smiley

This for a Patenten'd Monkiboy mod I am doing for my friends 68 http://cal-look.no/lounge/index.php/topic,7573.0.html  Wink

I had this idea ages ago and now I have the chance to try it out - Basiclly it has ALWAYS annoyed my how there is NO place to put a proper spanner on the Tracking arms on a vw so I have drawn up some plans for a small 40mm long section of 24mm hex bar that I will bore out internally to 19mm (diameter of tracking arms) then slide it onto the arms then run a bead of weld round each end (then dress the weld & paint)

So now you have a nice area where you can use a 24mm spanner to adjust your tracking - maybe its a little "overkill" but I just think it will help in the future  Smiley

I am also gonna do the same to the 2 framehorn bars for the rear truss bar so that can also be adjusted/preloaded easyily  Smiley

I have done this mod before on various vehicles, easiest way is to buy nuts in the size you want and bore the middle out to the right size, looks tidy too! Smiley

You can see them in place here on my 4 bars.

Hey thats not a bad idea about the Nuts but I have 4 cars to do in total and I want to make the spanner area slightly bigger than just a nuts width, Thanks for the pic though:)
