Not shutting down the V8 or the rice rocket in the adjacent lane.

The coolest thing is little kids' reactions as you drive by. They hear the noise coming and you can see them go on alert. You'll see kids starting craning their necks, in search of the source, then when they see the car, they get this big excited smile full of teeth, and start pointing and yelling at their parental figure..."Look! Look! Mommy...Look...Herbie!", some even wave at you, like you're some Saturday morning cartoon hero come to life.  Cool
With as few VW's you see running around now a days, it's no wonder, that among the mass sea of Golfs, Corollas, SUV's, 3-series BMW's, that a funky little VW triggers a reaction from the little ones.
My son goes wild when I come home at night and pull the Bug into the garage. Always the same, wants to walk out to garage, pulls on driver's door handle, wants a boost in driver's seat... starts swinging the steering wheel (unitl it locks Roll Eyes), then goes for switches, gearlever, heater levers... then wants to open decklid (careful of the hot A1 muffler dude)..."what's that? what's that? Rooooom Rooooommmm!"
Too cool.

I agree although most adults just see a lolely VW bug. The kids see the cool dripping from every inch of my sweet cal-look ride.
