I had the pleasure to meet up with Ken Lowry, along with Paul and Mark Schley all day Saturday. I learned so much about the old Deano Syno-Soars and DDS days. But here is something I would like to find out more about. When the first Deano Dyno-Soars H/Gasser crashed, flipped at Sears Point... that was the gold painted one, after the crash, the remains were brought back to their Alton Street adddress. According to Ken, a "VW club" came over and helped take the car apart, and strip another '56 to make a new racer (the purple one). Now, which VW club helped out? This would have been in March 1970.

Dean, you're a lucky man.
I really would like to see a photo of the DDS building.
So impatient to read the whole story in Hot VW's.
Keep on the good work my friend :-)

Interview, Deano? As in a future installation in H.V.W.s? COOL, bring it on.

Yes, that's the idea. I have some more interviews and searching to do before I feel ready to write it. I am planning to cover the time from when Dean and Ken Lowry got together and form Deano Dyno-Soars (with Gene Berg), through the DDS years w/o Dean, right up to the formation of ARPM.

Perfection... looking very forward to reading/seeing it. Thank you, Deano.
