Overheard some guys talking about a small car show at Chet Herbert's shop this morning while having breakfast at Flo's, so did a quick drive by.  A few locals were already there along with some cool nostalgia stuff.  Nitro fumes would later fill the air....  Cool Cool Grin

Good stuff, Sarge. The Pinto brings back memories from the '70s.

Nice stuff.  Thanks for the report!  Glad to see Willie's ride back in one piece.  One of my favorite cars ever.

Great report Sarge... how do you "happen" to be in all the right places? hmmmm?

Cool photos... I've seen that Pinto on the 57 freeway recently... My favorite so far is Willies car! Used to love to watch his antics at Lions when I was a kid Cool

Loved watching Wild Willie, the map on the decklid of the Winged Express was his route down any of the quarter miles he drove on! That car NEVER went straight, that is why he HUNG ON to the side of the body.

I'd say anybody who drove a Fuel Altered was one crazy thrill seeker.  I saw Willie a few times back in the day and he was amazing.  The NHRA shows on TV offer nothing in comparrison to the days of Altereds and AA/Gas Supercharged....

Here's a link to the first Chet Herbert Car Show held in July this year...
