That's a good price, but if you wait until December, empi is coming out with their version, which looks pretty good IMO. I know some people are gonna hate on them because they're empi's, but the pics I've seen look pretty cool.

Here's a pic of the new EMPI Wheel I took at SEMA.  They are made in China.  Overall finish looked real good.

Any body know what it takes to be an EMPI dealer? Any idea on price of their wheels?

Typical... another POS copy from EMPI..
Sorry, you'd think if somebody was going to take the time to tool up and copy something, they would pay more attention to detail.
Best BRM copy I've seen yet is the latest from Flat Four.

So quick to condemn them but what about the MWS copies that most of the euro guys (And USA) are running?

Like I said earlier, some people are gonna hate just because they are empi, if you look closely, the wheels have what appears to be reliefs around the lug area like originals, they come with a matte finish like originals, and if you talk to Vee dub parts unl. they will tell you that people are hitching about the new flat 4's because they have the 5 round casting marks in them, LIKE THE ORIGINALS. People are stupid.

And you know that the VW world will be turned upside down because of their cheaper price...Grin
EMPI's pretty effing pathetic anymore... it took them HOW LONG to copy the 51mm Weber-style carb that was being done by Bergs and Jaycee and other QUALITY outfits back in the early 90s, if not earlier?
I'd boycott anything EMPI/Mr. Bug just on principle.  All they do is further the rapid deterioration of the VW world with their cheap, shoddy crap and even worse customer service.

Honestly, if I were getting into the VW market, that's one name I'd stay away from.  But I'm biased.  Grin My above post pretty much says it all.

EPIC post full of TRUTH and WIN.

They seriously just need to go away or simply stick to Japanese car replacement parts. My friend, Todd, runs a warehouse for import-export of mostly To#¤ta off road vehicle parts for Australia and New Zealand... he needed help, for a couple of weeks, last summer with stocking the shelves and putting some export orders together. So I worked there for that time. I was AMAZED at how much EMPI is heavily involved in the non-VW market.

Back on topic; go with the new Flat Four BRM wheels and call it a day. They look great and they're off of the original BRM mold. Doesn't get much better than that. Just hit the spokes with some flat black paint, and you're good to go.
