Got to spend last weekend watching the "street car supernationals" in Las vegas,an amazing event that I wanted to run my car at but ran out of time with the new engine so decided to just go and spectate. In "Pro street there were 52 cars trying for a 32 car field,the bump spot ended up at 6.52,yes this is 1/4 mile,32 cars ran 6.52 or quicker,the quickest being 5.98@243mph twin turbo mustang,seeing these cars running all out to mkae the field was amazing.Its a class were anything goes engine wise,but they are all door cars with lights indicators etc and are pushing the boundaries as far as they can,there was also 10.5 tire outlaw class,also anything goes but you must run a maximun of a 10.5 wide tyre,then 2 treaded drag radial classes as well Heres some pictures I took that show better than any words what it was like  |

The yellow Jegs car had a 930 cubic inch experimental engine in it,makes my new 2800cc[172 cubic inch] seem tiny

Billy Gliddens small block powered car was no1 in 10.5 tyre with a 6.58,this is run on a real small budget,the parrot was crew chief i think It had alot of nitrous on it to get it done,at least 3 stages,maybe 4,it was hard to tell with so much going on in there |

The spectator veiwing gives a lot of different options,including up real high,when was the last time you saw an elavator to get to the top of a grandstand?
