I'm mounting tires on my two peice 5 spokes, With tubes, Question is cant get a last part of tire to fill out to wheel lip, Or last little bit will not pop out about 3/16 to 1/4 inch about 3-4 inch around wheel only on the front of wheel the rear is perfect. Tube is at max air preasure. I wonder if a tire shop might put some type of tube on outer premeter of tire then inflat tube in tire. I hope that makes a little sense

Every tire shop uses rubber lube to mount tires. You can buy it at NAPA.....

I did mount them dry, I thought was to keep moisture out of inner rim area , so you think lubeing tire edge better might get it to slide or slip into place. Just a little scary filling something with alot of air preasure trying to get it to finish moveing where it needs to be! dont want to blow the side of a bolted together wheel. dont need any fricken flying peices of wheel trying to kill me ! Ya call me a pussy

The lube most shops and goodyear uses is a paste type lube to eliminate any moisture
go to any tire shop and should have some

Dish soap, Danny. Problem solved. You don't want silicone (WD-40) on your tires, unless you hate them.

Hey Danny,

I used to use a little gas when mounting my EMPI's... yeah, I know, not safe, blah blah, but it worked.

Well... I wouldn't want anybody to get the wrong idea about me ~but~ I've used the "Redneck Route" many times... it works especially well when mounting ATV tires Grin
