As my '51 has some repro tail light housings but no inners, I thought about making something like this, incorporating brake and indicator lights too. I'm a long way off even starting it though, so if someone else gets there first I'll probably just buy them! Smiley

Yep,
LED's really have come a long way... I love 'em on my car trailer.

For me, the old glass lenses and bulb type tail lights are part of the character of the car. I know they are a hassle sometimes, but they can be pretty reliable, plus 12V system makes them nice and bright.
